Intermediate Copywriter

We’re looking for someone who has a few years under their belt and has learned a thing or two about creating and selling great work. This person will be able to show some outstanding work in their book and has already spent a few years around the Canadian marketing industry working in the creative departments of reputable ad agencies. We like people who are passionate about both advertising and just the world in general. Here, we do everything from general advertising to content creation to unique digital innovations and messaging. The right candidate will be a key team player on a number of our national accounts.

Creative Technologist

We’re looking for someone that embodies that perfect mix of creativity and technology. Someone who can recognize and understand a great idea and really help bring it to life technologically… digitally… executionally.

  • This role would report to the creative director; but the individual would work closely with digitally savvy writers, art directors and designers as well as planners, developers/programmers and account people.
  • This individual would come with a proven track record of active involvement in developing and executing impactful and successful digital experiences.
  • This role requires an individual that is at ease presenting to/selling to clients at a variety of seniority levels; a clear, convincing, passionate communicator.

The Creative Technologist will be involved, on a priority/opportunity basis, on a variety of Central Station clients and projects as deemed appropriate and manageable by the Creative Director/Senior Management. Intermediate/Senior Art Director

Central Station is looking for an Intermediate/Senior Art Director who is excited about doing great work in an exciting, creative Agency. We are a mid sized shop with a client list that offers endless opportunity to do great work. If you have more than 3 years experience working in the Canadian advertising industry and you’ve your book has some great work in it that you’ve done while working at some reputable ad agencies, we hope you’ll introduce yourself to us.

A Central Station Art Director Should:

  • Be highly creative.
  • Have a thorough understanding of photography, typography and design.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work well as part of a team, with a range of people. 
  • Have excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Be highly motivated and well organized.
  • Have a good eye for detail.

Graphic Designers

The position plays a key role with our experienced core design team and reports directly to the Senior level design staff.

Candidates must show strength in developing strong creative concepts that are inline with the overall vision of the project, from window designs, in-store environments to graphic design.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Participating in client and internal meetings.
  • Working independently and with the Creative Director to develop high level concepts based on client briefing and visual centres.
  • Building out concepts in 3D software and generating concept decks that realistically portray environments and all their components.
  • Working closely with project managers to ensure fabrication is inline with overall vision.
  • Final file preparation for press.

Production Designer

We’re looking to add someone to our fast-paced, high-output, production department. Someone who can work independently or within a team to turn around large scale campaigns, accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the delivery of final, press ready /assets, on time, to a high level of quality and contractual targets.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Ai, Ps, Id) and related design/production software.
  • Working closely with Art Directors and Senior Design staff to maintain brand integrity and consistency.
  • Creating and maintaining master templates, archiving completed work and uploading files to various printers/fabricators.
  • Understanding of brand design and branding principles; command of layout and typography.
  • Scaling, cropping, retouching/colour correction, repositioning and preflighting.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of job history and client-specific information.
