Introducing the Big Drop
We used our experiential event and activation expertise to turn the launch of Samsung’s new Z Fold 7 into a big-time drop designed to drive foot traffic, drive trial, and create excitement. Our mandate was to get people trialing the features on the new phone, and what better way to encourage participation than by rewarding it? Visitors were invited to trial the Z Fold 7 in-store to unlock entry into the “Big Drop”, a larger-than-life game combining suspense, scale, and instant rewards. While every participant walked away a winner, the chance to score a brand-new Z Fold 7 built buzz that kept the crowds coming.
Turning the launch into a destination
The activation took place inside a striking retail environment to draw attention from across the mall. We created striking, origami-like geometric displays that mirrored the device’s design, creating a premium, futuristic environment. To amplify reach beyond the store, we supported the launch with targeted digital ads using the same origami design language that teased the drop and built anticipation.
The results? A pretty big deal.
Foot traffic surged, with the activation driving 6,910 total engagements and 4,598 registrations, an average of one every three minutes. One in four customers in-store engaged directly with our activation team, and an impressive 67% of those interactions converted into active participation in the experience.
