Central Station caps off a year of growth

A dozen new hires have joined the agency in response to increased client demand.

A handful of recent additions at Central Station have capped off a year that brought a dozen new faces to the Toronto independent agency.

The additions made in 2016 – the agency’s first full year since its creation last fall – have been in response to organic growth in its assignments with clients such as Nike, Hudson’s Bay, Molson Coors, Lindt & Sprungli, IKO, Cougar Boots and the Toronto Blue Jays, as well as work from new clients including Reinhardt Foods, Echelon Wealth Partners and Street City Realty.

The agency’s most recent hires come in its production and design departments. It has hired Dave Rodgers as its new head of studio, having previously been a creative director at Cactus and having stints on the design teams at Northink, MLSE and for the Toronto Blue Jays. Mike Zyhar has joined as senior production designer after six years on the design team at Elco Fine Foods. Central Station has also added Jennifer Radford as a production coordinator.

On the digital team, Michael Morganstein has also been hired as a digital marketing strategist, having previously been at TechWyse Internet Marketing.

Account manager Rebecca Kearon has joined from Juniper Park\TBWA. Kearon joins a pair of other account team hires from earlier this year: account supervisor Chantelle D’Aoust, who previously spent four years at KBS, and account supervisor Dasha Kassenkova, who joined from John St.

In creative, Central Station has hired former freelance graphic designer Beth Harris. Harris joins a pair of additions the agency made to its creative department in the spring and summer, when senior art director Steve St.Jean joined after stints at The&Partnership and Trevor/Peter, while former intern Kyle Elich was hired full-time as a copywriter.

Elsewhere, the agency has also added accounting assistant Malik Pervez to its finance team and hired Ruthie Luff as an administrative assistant.
